I would like to have featured images with translucent overlays and page titles on my pages and posts, similar to this: Virtual STEAM Camps

However, I would like to stop creating these images in Adobe, and instead have GeneratePress do this for me. I know how to do this by covering the entire image with a translucent background overlay, but I only want a portion of the background covered in translucence.

Is this possible, and how do I do this?

    Hi there,

GP doesn’t have any specific features or options that allow you to do this unfortunately.

It would take quite a bit of custom HTML and CSS to make this work which is a bit outside the scope of this forum.

Things like this are also tough to make it responsive.

I’d say that using your current method to edit the image is the best.
