Hover effect not working correctly

Not sure why the hover effect isn't working correctly on portfolio items. Works fine in the builder but when the page is published there seems to be an overlay on the text.
Any ideas what is wrong here would be much appreciated.

Have you checked with the plugin support first?
That is not something coming from GP.
