Horizontal Main Menu issue

Hi, we just converted an old site to GP and GP Premium.
And are finding it impossible to force the header menu to run horizontally, rather than vertically. Also, we're struggling to edit the font colour of said menu in the header.
Can someone assist please?

Hi Evan,
Are you using a header widget to add the menu?
If so, remove the header widget, and try assign the menu to Primary menu at appearance > menus > Menu Settings.
Once it's done, you can change the color at customizer > colors > primary navigation/header.
