Hook before both sidebars?

I have my front page set up as content/sidebar/sidebar. I'd like to add content on top of both sidebars that spans across both sidebars. Is that possible? uneditedpolitics.com
Interesting - the sidebars aren't wrapped in any container, so this isn't possible.
I didn't think about the need for this, but I can see the logic behind it - I'll have to look into this more.
