Homepage Sidebars gone AWOL

Hi,
I disabled GP Premium for a minute to test something. It is re-enabled but now right and left sidebars on my homepage are both not displaying. The right sidebar (only one enabled) works fine on Posts.
Just to add to this - I disable GP Premium and homepage sidebars work fine, though they look off due to poor spacing. I enable GP Premium and homepage shows no sidebars although all the settings in Customizer appear correct.

The home page is using the Sections module so the sidebars are removed by default.
The only way to use sidebars with Sections is with this filter:

It was never meant to use Sections, not sure how it went on.
