January 23, 2018 at 7:33 am #478070 LeoStaff Customer Support Hi there, Are you using the More tag? https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-more-tag/ January 23, 2018 at 7:53 am #478092 Hamed No, i wanted to use the excerpt.. January 23, 2018 at 7:57 am #478095 LeoStaff Customer Support I understand. All of the HTML (styles and colors) are showing in the excerpt which means either the more tag is used in the content itself (which overwrites GP’s option) or there is a plugin conflict. So make sure you aren’t using the more tag in the content, if not then try #1 here: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/debugging-tips/ January 24, 2018 at 3:20 pm #479220 Hamed Hey, yes i tried deactivating all plugins, same issue. Also, none of my posts have the more tag in it. January 24, 2018 at 10:02 pm #479347 TomLead Developer Lead Developer I assume you’ve told the blog to show the excerpts in Customize > Layout > Blog? January 25, 2018 at 12:33 am #479385 Hamed OMg, that was it 😉 Thanks Tom!! January 25, 2018 at 12:40 am #479387 Hamed OK, now there is a small issue ( hopefully small ).. The Read More Button doesnt show up on the homepage ALTHOUGH i activated it in the customizer. Any idea? January 25, 2018 at 6:48 am #479583 LeoStaff Customer Support Looks like you are using custom excerpt so this should work: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/how-to-display-read-more-when-using-the-excerpt-field/#post-297608 Author Posts Viewing 9 posts - 1 through 9 (of 9 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
