[Support request] Homepage Hero keeps turning black despite being set to pick featured image

Hello,

I’m having a minor issue on all of my sites.

I have a homepage hero set up to pull the featured image and this works, however, every day or every few days (it’s random) the homepage hero image turns black.

This happens at the same time for all my sites and I am unsure why.

To fix this I need to open up the homepage hero and click save, which will then make sure that it pulls the image again. This only happens for the homepage, all the other pages with the same settings don’t get affected.

Any ideas how to fix this?

^It is happening right now on Fitnical so I will leave it like that for now

Ok, i see the logo missing and the hero background image is missing.
If you open the browser developer console on that page ( Right Click > Inspect ) you can see some errors in the Console tab.
Those are related to images: the Logo and the Hero bckground image URLs being HTTP and Chrome won’t server mix content on a HTTPS site.

The logo – you can upload a newly named logo to customizer > site identity to fix.
The background images you also need to replace.
