I’d like to set up the home page of my site almost identically to how the demo GP homepage is running currently; I’ve got everything sorted apart from a couple of things:

The feature image – I’d like the same parallax background image with the static image/text overlay below my header and above the content on my home page (blog posts).

Main Nav – I’d like to move my main nav into the header next to my logo rather than in a separate bar underneath.

Do I need a couple of add-ons to achieve this, some other plugins or am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Rowan,
For the featured image, you can use Page Header addon.

1- Active you Page Header addon and follow to your homepage, there you’ll find a new metabox ‘Page Header’.
You can set a background image and for the Content tab you place your text. For the parallax just mark the option “Add parallax effect to background image?”.

For your Blog page, go to Appearance > BLog Page Header

2- For the navigation just go to Customizer > Layout > Navigation Position > Float Right

For this you will need GP Premium or only the Page Header Addon

    😀
