I’ve read a few requests to hide Gutenberg and GP Blocks from user roles (authors) to prevent them going crazy when writing a post and adding all sorts of wonderful delights to their content. I’m still fighting Gutenberg and Blocks but I know my time is coming to an end and I need to embrace this. If there’s no function to restrict authors from accessing specific Blocks, is it possible to hide access to each Block using css?

    Would these plugins hide GenerateBlocks?

    1. https://wordpress.org/plugins/block-visibility/ – Block Visibility — Conditional Visibility Control for the Block Editor
    2. https://wordpress.org/plugins/conditional-blocks/ – Conditional Blocks – Visibility control for any Gutenberg block
    3. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wicked-block-conditions/ – Wicked Block Conditions

    Hi Pete,

I’m not sure if the plugins you found will work with GeneratePress.

Please go ahead and give it a test and see if it works.

If not then you can try checking with the plugin’s support team to see what the requirements are to make it work with GB.
