I tried to hide it the regular way (in the User Profile), I tried several plugins and several snippets in functions.php, but the bar remains visible. Is there a setting in GP that I am missing? Thanks! March 30, 2016 at 1:18 pm #182986 TomLead Developer Lead Developer GP doesn’t touch the admin bar functionality at all. Have you tried a plugin like this?: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/hide-admin-bar-from-non-admins/ March 30, 2016 at 1:24 pm #182987 leo Ok, good to know, thanks. Tried the plugin: no joy. It’s driving me mad! π March 30, 2016 at 1:27 pm #182988 TomLead Developer Lead Developer There’s lots of plugins and functions out there: https://wordpress.org/plugins/global-admin-bar-hide-or-remove/ One of them is bound to work π March 30, 2016 at 11:21 pm #183069 leo Update: found one that did the trick. Selective hiding does not work, in my case, only complete removal does, with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-toolbar-removal/ Still quite frustrating though.
