Hero section stops displaying if the page is displayed as the homepage

Hello,

I *think* *maybe* (but not sure as I am not a coder) I found a bug.

When I create a page, then add a hero section to that page (https://docs.generatepress.com/article/how-to-create-a-page-hero/), then set that page as the default homepage (WordPress settings call it a "Static page"), the hero will stop displaying. If I switch it to not be the homepage, the Hero displays again.

But when I check the settings for the element...

Type: Header
Location: [The name of the page displays]

Display rules for location are:
Page [And again, the correct page name is there].

When I no longer use it as the homepage, the hero displays again. When I use the page as the homepage, the hero no longer displays.

What can I do to fix this issue?

Thank you,
Roger

I tried an alternative solution. Instead set up a full width container (Generateblocks).
That seemed to have done the trick (for anyone else that has this identical issue)
Thank you!

Hi Roger,

Once the page is set to homepage, it's no longer a regular page :)

This is defined by WordPress.

You'll need to change the location tofront pageinstead of page > page name.

Fantastic Ying, it works! You're the best!
Thank you!

You are welcome :)
