hero element font not updating
13 replies · Started by Pops on August 8, 2022
Hi,
I am working in Pixel theme.
I have tried editing the font on the hero element. It shows up perfectly on the editing screen. But when I update the page it reverts to the previous.
Can anyone help please.
Thank you
Hi there,
can you share a link to your site where i can see the font issue ?
And what changes did you make to that font ?
Hi
Thank you. Link in private area. :)
The edit screen shows the ‘j’ with a bar to the left (i can send screenshots).
I am not aware of making any changes to the font.
Thank you :0
Kind regards
If you edit the Element, and select that Headline Block, in the blocks toolbar do you see the dynamic options icon ? See here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/dynamic-data/
If so and its Black with a white icon it means that its displaying dynamic content. Click on the icon and remove any of the options. Then you should see whatever text you typed into the block
I’m afraid i don’t see that sorry.
Kind regards. :)
Could i get a temporary admin login to the site ?
Yes, of course. Thank you
ADMIN MOVED TO PRIVATE FIELD
Ok, hope you dont mind, i added a - between the N and J and published that change.
I had to clear the Page Cache and the Site Cache a couple of times, and i can now see it on the front end.
I think it was a case of the page caching being a tough cookie.
Thank you so much.
However, the font i wanted had the J, with a bar pointing left. (See private info shot of edit screen.)
Oh and thank you, but don’t need the ‘-‘ :)
Your help is much appreciated.
Kind regards
Doh... :)
So can you temporarily disable the Cache Enabler plugin and Autoptimize.
Make the change you need to the Page Hero. Then publish the changes, does that show up on the front end now ?
Thank you, That works.
Much appreciated :)
Cache and Optimization plugins can be a pain in the backside.
I generally disable them when i am making edits in the customizer, the Elements module or a plugin settings.
Once done i re-enable them.
Glad to hear its working :)
Good advice, i will heed :)
Thank you again.
You're welcome :)
