So I just bought Generatepress, and I use the Rumour theme for my blog, https://tokokata.com/. I did some minor customization on the font, adding CSS to fix video caption alignment and adjusting the content container size (honestly, I just want to focus on my blog content, it’s the reason why I bought GeneratePress, to begin with).
Previously I used the default WordPress twenty-twenty-three, and the performance in Pagespeed insight was all 100, even with AdSense enabled. I thought this Rumour theme was supposed to be lightweight. But the page speed score is only 58-68. I use Lightspeed Cache. So I suspect that I somehow broke the theme during my customization, resulting in worse performance.
Also, I notice the thumbnails under More Posts on the right sidebar do not display the correct square size. You will notice this oddity and other odd stuff during initial loads if you check it in page speed insight.
I’m not sure which part I had broken. How do I fix these problems, If possible? Do I have to reinstall the theme? If so, how to make sure that I start on a clean slate?

Oh, the weird performance stuff gets resolved on its own; it’s probably a caching issue? But I still can’t fix the broken thumbnail and the weird initial load stuff (shown in the page speed insight). I think the menu is kinda broken; I’m not sure; there is something that says “Skip to content”, as detected by page speed insight.
Also, how do I add padding/space after each of the auto ads? There is a proper space before the ad, but there is no space at the bottom of the ad, and it touches the paragraph if you understand what I meant. I think it’s similar to the image if I do not add a caption for it; there is no proper spacing after the image too.

Okay, I managed to fix the auto ad padding problem using this method https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/auto-ads-padding/. As for the image padding, I found the solution as well, which is similar, though always adding a caption is better anyway.
However, I still can’t fix the broken thumbnail dimension under More Posts on the right side bar. And the weird thing that I mentioned before.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
those issues occur when CSS is not loading correctly, and the common issue with this is Cache / Optimizations.
Can you temporarily disable any cahce / otpimizer plugins and clear the browser caches.
If the issue goes away then you need to find with of those plugin settings are causing the issue.if the issue does not go away then leave those plugins disabled and let us know.

Thank you for your reply!
The weird “Skip to Content” problem seems to be a caching issue, just as you’ve said. However, the broken thumbnails on the right sidebar still remain. I’ve disabled the Lightspeed cache plugin for now; I’ll turn it back on once the problem’s resolved. Hopefully, you can find the solution for the thumbnail.

I find another issue, apparently if I’m logged in, I can’t post a comment. The comment box appears and I can’t write on it just find, but there is no butter to post/reply.

StaffCustomer SupportI still see a lot of Litespeed cached CSS files.
Can you make sure the cache is disabled ?April 1, 2023 at 1:10 pm #2592362shoffan
I figure out the problem, it seems that the thumbnail is broken because of the title length. I tried it on a fresh install and it demonstrate the same behavior. So I opt to delete the thumbnails instead.
Thank you for your time!
