OK maybe I messed something up. I'll rebuild it and see if I can get the correct result.

Still not applying the CSS as I've intended.
Your CSS isn't working as .wp-block-image and .home-image-1 classes are on the same level so there cannot be a space in between them:
.wp-block-image.home-image-1
