headers not displaying properly for old content imported into new site design

You have a header element which merges the header with the content.

Can you go to appearance > elements? Check if there's a header element, if so, exclude the pages that you don't want the merge effect from the element's location?

Thanks, but I want the header on all viewable posts and archives? So are you saying that by excluding "archive pages" it will display properly?
