    Hello,

I have been using Elementor Header Footer plugin for designing Header, Primary Nav and footer on the site.
But the Elementor plugin adds around 23 more database queries which I believe are a lot. This impacts the performance significantly.

So I am trying to create header and primary nav using GeneratePress premium. I tried everything as shown in the tutorial https://docs.generatepress.com/article/merging-header-navigation-content/ but the navigation is still not visible on the site.

Please let me know what I am missing here.

    Thanks
    Rahul

    Hi there,

You are using Elementor Canvas which strips all of GP’s elements.

Thanks for replying Leo. So if I use elementor, I cannot use GeneratePress for creating components.
Without Elementor Canvas, I find it difficult to design pages. Give that constraint I suppose you’d recommend using Elementor Header Footer.

If you use the default Elementor (not canvas) then you can use Elementor to create components and add it in GP.

Elementor Canvas basically replaces the theme so no GP’s components can be used.
