Hi Sorry! I must have created a duplicate ticket.
I’ve set a page to use the “default” template (instead of Elementor Canvas or Elementor Full width), default page builder container and “Content/Sidebar”. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a way to display Page header, title, primary navigations. What am i doing wrong?
I also tried various permutations and combinations with the customizer, but no success.
Here is the link to the page https://creativenatureart.com/blog/
July 29, 2020 at 10:41 am #1380922LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Can you do this first?
https://www.screencast.com/t/pFVbgPkIdHJuly 29, 2020 at 11:59 am #1381010NatarajHey – do you think I didn’t do that before reaching out to you? I was hoping furhter clues and tricks beyond you clear cache suggestion ๐
July 29, 2020 at 12:07 pm #1381021LeoStaffCustomer SupportI’m not sure if you did but disabling the caching plugin is actually better for us – it allows us to inspect the code better which is why we asked to keep them deactivated if you need to post your topic ๐
There are two possibilities that those theme elements can be removed with GP:
– With the disable element metabox:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/disable-elements-overview/– With a layout element:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/#disable-elementIf none of those applied to your case then it’s not a GP issue so I’d check with Elementor’s support.
July 29, 2020 at 12:24 pm #1381035NatarajIf you are looking at the site ..
1. All elements are disabled (i.e., Assigned to 404 template)
2. WP Rocket is disabled; prior to that cache is cleared.
Let me know if you are debuggingJuly 29, 2020 at 12:32 pm #1381038NatarajBTW – it works fine for “Post” but it doesn’t work with “Page” and “Woocommerce related pages/products”
July 29, 2020 at 2:31 pm #1381120LeoStaffCustomer SupportSorry not sure if I fully understand?
Does the header/navigation come back if you disable Elementor on that page?
July 29, 2020 at 3:04 pm #1381147NatarajI just used Gutenberg editor for this page (this is a page) https://creativenatureart.com/__test_29_jul/
No elementor. Still no luck! However, this is a post (https://creativenatureart.com/always-carry-your-camera-with-you/) edited using Elementor, and it works!!!!
July 29, 2020 at 3:14 pm #1381150LeoStaffCustomer SupportThis page here:
https://creativenatureart.com/__test_29_jul/is actually using Elementor and Elementor Canvas:
https://www.screencast.com/t/i3Uxe22PD8SJuly 29, 2020 at 3:23 pm #1381155NatarajNo, on the page layout screen I don’t see it. But I don’t know which module is loading Elementor Canvas instead of the theme default layout
See the screenshot below.

https://creativenatureart.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Screen-Shot-2020-07-29-at-6.19.15-PM.pngBTW – I wish we had a nice to upload the screenshots to this portal.
July 29, 2020 at 3:24 pm #1381156NatarajLet me know if you can’t access the screenshot
July 29, 2020 at 3:28 pm #1381157LeoStaffCustomer SupportMaybe it’s a caching issue again as you have the caching plugin activated?
All I can see the code on that page which is showing that Elementor/Elementor canvas is loaded:
https://www.screencast.com/t/i3Uxe22PD8SThere is no way that GP would activate Elementor canvas for you.
Any chance you can check with Elementor’s support on this?
July 29, 2020 at 3:45 pm #1381163NatarajWP Rocket is off and cleared the cache and then tested. Still loads the canvas template.
class=”page-template-default page page-id-26477 logged-in wp-custom-logo wp-embed-responsive theme-generatepress post-image-aligned-left slideout-enabled slideout-desktop sticky-menu-fade sticky-enabled both-sticky-menu mobile-header mobile-header-logo mobile-header-sticky woocommerce-js no-lightbox left-sidebar nav-below-header fluid-header one-container active-footer-widgets-3 nav-aligned-center header-aligned-center dropdown-hover elementor-default elementor-template-canvas elementor-kit-21271 elementor-page-10305 offside-js–init”
July 29, 2020 at 4:11 pm #1381179LeoStaffCustomer SupportThat case please check with their support first.
All the HTML markup are coming from Elementor as well:
https://www.screencast.com/t/BsVOqUGujiFThat is not something from the default Gutenberg editor.
July 29, 2020 at 4:54 pm #1381201NatarajI am going to do that as well, but thanks for helping to trace the problem! I will fill you in once I found a solution.
