Header Image not Optimized

Hi guys,
I am using header images for my blog and using short pixel for image optimization.
While all the images in the post and thumbnails are optimized (you can see, all are webp), the header image (which is the featured image) is not. The header image is still the same old JPG without optimization.
I am not sure what is causing this. Any ideas? Help?

Header Elements display the image as a CSS background
Looks like theres a separate option for that in shortpixel:
