Header element site logo for sticky nav?
6 replies · Started by Drew on August 29, 2020
I could have sworn there was an option at one point to assign a logo for both the main site logo and the sticky nav logo but I can't seem to find it nor is there anything in the documentation. Am I imagining it existed at one time?

The logo on this page is generated via the Header Element's settings, http://catherinechen.wpengine.com/shop/, and I want it to apply to the sticky nav as well.
Suggestions?
Hey Drew,
Good point. I believe that's a bug. Will check and get back to you :)
Hey!
That's actually never been an option.
Just thought about this some more. Your sticky navigation color shouldn't change with the header element so you shouldn't need to replace the sticky logo?
Let me know if I'm missing something here :)
Hey Leo, thanks for confirming. Then here's what is going on:
Non-sticky logo assigned by Header Element

This logo is different than the primary site logo used for non-sticky and sticky:

Note the different logo designs. The goal here was hoping I could assign a custom logo for both sticky and non-sticky via the header element controls.
In that case you'd need to use this filter:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/option_generate_menu_plus_settings/#sticky_menu_logo
See examples:

Let me know if you need help with the code :)
Many thanks, I'll give it a shot and only swing back if I hit a wall!
Sounds good :)
