I’m fixing a site where the former webmaster used a slider to show static images. (Yeah, great idea!) In addition to that he used the WPBakery pagebuilder plugin for creating all pages. Who would use such a crap with Generatepress? Anyway, I removed the slider, but the header element does not show up. Can’t I use header elements together with the pagebuilder? Don’t get me wrong, that would be totally ok with me, since I never use pagebuilders. However, it would make things very complicated, since I had to rebuild 40 or so pages. My customer would not be amused. So, for now I would prefer to use both together.
Thank you!

That is strange: It works with a page that seems to me identical in terms of page settings. No idea what’s going on.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Header Elements rely on the Hooks included in the GP Theme templates. If the Page Builder was used to create its own templates then those hooks won’t exist – which is most likely the issue. IF you can share a link to the problem page and a working page then i can take a look if you want.

Thanks a bunch, David. Here are 3 pages:
This was built with WPBakery and did not work with the header element after removing the slider section from the pagebuilder:
https://doriskirch.de/ueber-doris/This one was built right from the start with just the classic editor and works with the header element:
https://doriskirch.de/podcasts-neu/And this one is a strange. I copied it from a page that was built with the builder, and it did not load the header element. I removed the slider part in HTML mode, and now it loads the header element:
https://doriskirch.de/test-fuer-header/Why would I have to remove the slider part in HTML mode?
I will digg into it. Maybe, the not so great CSS of the former webmaster is the problem.
Thanks a lot.

I removed the slider on this page in HTML mode, but the header element did not work:

I removed the changes and reactivated the slider.

StaffCustomer SupportI don’t see why a header element wouldn’t work there.
Have you tried clear your caching plugin? Please disable while we are trying to help.
What is the display rule you are using? And what is the content you are adding?

Sorry for the bother. The problem is the bullshit CSS of the former webmaster. Pardon my french. I don’t know why, but he set for all pages that he created the .page-hero class to display: none. His stylesheet is a nightmare. I mean, why would anybody do that?
Thank you very much and sorry again for wasting your time.
