Header element design not showing up.

Hi there,

I see a few issues:

- Currently there is no header:

- and no navigation:

- and the page hero content is also empty:

Any chance you can show me an example of what you are trying to create?

I've done all the stuff indicated above, but I still get nothing. I know it's me, and there's something I'm not doing correctly, but I'm at a loss to know what that is.

I'm trying to recreate the look of this site page (http://www.washmarkmanson.com/about/) which is a site I started last year before the "elements" thing was introduced.

I've followed the tutorial for creating a page hero, built it, added the header logos in the manner you indicated, but I still get nothing but the stock "welcome" page.

Do I create a "site header" the same way I would create any other header...in the Elements section?

Hi there,

first thing it looks like you need to set up your Header.
1. Customizer > Site Identity and add your logo.
2. It should default to the left. In case it isn't you position it in Customizer > Layout > Header.
3. Assign a menu to the Primary Navigation. And in Customizer > Layout > Primary Navigation set it to Float Right.

Then in your Header Element - make sure you have some content in the Page Hero content. If you only want the image to be displayed then add a HTML comment ( it won't show on the front end ) eg.

<!-- page hero featured image -->

Then make sure you add some Top and Bottom padding to Element as this gives its the height.

I've already added the site title, tagline, logos and site icon. All show up in on the customizing tool as thought they're there, and it shows up (albeit incorrectly) when I save the draft while in the customizer, but nothing shows up when I preview the page.

Can you disable the Header Element you have added. By Quick Editing and saving as a Draft.

Done.

So no Logo or Menu is being output - the HTML wraps are there but no content. Which is odd.... Do you have any other plugins installed, custom functions or anything in a Hook Element?

I have the following plugins installed, which are the same as on the other site that's working fine.

No custom functions or any Hook Elements.

Can you disable the other plugins apart from GP Premium, so we can see if one of them is conflicting.

I can see a comment in the markup 'Generated by Endurance Page Cache' - is this a server cache ? If so can you flush that and disable it as i can't see any changes to the site.
