Header Element - Background Color is not applied

Hi
I have created a header-element for posts on this site and the title & featured images are looking good.
But when I try to add an overlay colour, this colour is not applied to the image.
Could you please help me here?

Hi Sascha,
I don't see the option is activated on your site, can you make sure the Background Overlay is ticked, and a semi-transparent background color is set:
