Header disappeared & Menu has all pages in it

Hi there,

Can you clear and disable WP Rocket for us to take a look?

We might need to go through some debugging tests so if it's a live site with traffic then please start a staging site.

I can create a staging site via Cloudways, but they suggest not giving out the URL and password publicly. I'll set one up then if needed would you mind sending me an email: golfinsideruk@gmail.com and I'll send over the details.

It doesn't look like a menu is assigned. Perhaps it was accidentally deleted? or simply non-existent.

Can you check Appearance > Customize > Menus > Location and check what's assign as Primary menu?

This is what I've been attempted.

Appearance > Customize > Menus >

and assign menu to the main menu and then re-add the header. These changes appear, I press publish, but then the site isn't showing these changes?

It feels like it must be a caching issue, but WP Rocket and Cloudflare have all been disabled and cleared. So my next best guess If there is some overriding code, but I wouldn't know how to check.

Have you any other ideas about what to try?

If the changes apply to the customizer but not the front end, I believe it's most likely a cache problem.

Can you make sure the server cache is also cleared?

If it still doesn't work, then try disabling all plugins except GP Premium to eliminate conflicts from other plugins.

All plugins bar GP Prem have been disabled on the staging site. No host caching is on.

Are you still getting the caching in inspect?

The only reason I feel it may not be caching is when I make the changes:

Appearance > Customize > Menus >

They are not there on the dashboard the next time? Would this still be the case if it was a caching issue?

You heros! Thanks, I never would have figured that one out. So the below threw an error, then I deleted it from the database.

It's worked on the staging site and the changes are sticking.

I'm going to try and make the changes I need and push them live this evening with all the plugins back on, I'll get in touch if I run into any more issues and hopefully I'll then mark this thread as resolved.

I think there was a new release of WordPress and 1-2 key plugins last week. I normally avoid them for a week or two. Strangely, when I rolled back the WP version there was still this issue?
