Having trouble with Primary Navigation on mobile
5 replies · Started by Dinesh on January 5, 2018
I have two menus.
Primary menu on header and I created a secondary menu as slide-out. I enabled slide-out on both desktop & mobile
Now on desktop I see the primary Menu on the header and I see that hamburger sign next to it which on clicking slides out the secondary nav. So far so good.
Now when I go to mobile I do not see the primary nav. I see a Menu option which on clicking only shows(slides out) the secondary nav.
Is there a way to see both the primary and secondary nav as a slide out on mobile?
Hi there,
It's a bit tricky but I think you can achieve what you want by:
- Keeping the primary navigation as it is.
- Add the all the menu items you want in slideout navigation on mobile, and hide some of them on desktop using the hide-on-desktop class. See the first example here: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/responsive-display/#using-our-hide-on-classes
Let me know if this makes sense.
That worked like a charm. You Sir are amazing.
One more question if I may, is there a way to replace the hamburger sign with a text?
