Having a nightmare trying to deativate and delete Font Awesome 4 Menus plugin

Hi. I'm trying to deativate and delete an old plugin on my site called Font Awesome 4 Menus. Whenever I do, my freezes up and fails to load. Each time, I have to go into my cPanel to restore a backup of the wp-content folder.
Is there any way I can delete this plugin without crashing my site?
Thank you.
Hi there,
have you tried renaming ( or deleting ) the plugin folder via FTP ?
I assume you mean the plugin folder. I'll give it a try.
That worked. I just deleted the plugin folder. No crashes. Thanks.
Just out of curiosity, is ther anything left behind in the database, or elsewhere when I delete a plugin this way?
Thanks again.
It could have its own Plugin Table in the Database or some entrys in the WP_options table - it varies between plugins unfortunately.
Yeah, not important.
One last thing. My top menu is not aligned anymore after deleting the Awesome 4 Menus plug.
And, of course , I had to put all the icons back.
Here's a snapshot of it:

Any ideas?
OK. I got the alignment issue sorted out. I just had to create a new menu. Duh!
Thanks for your help as always.
You're welcome - glad you got it resolved.
