Have submenu items shift on mobile

Hello,
I'm trying to create a mobile menu where the submenu items instead of opening as a dropdown shift to the left(or right)
Kind of like in this website where they're using ShiftNav Plugin .
I wanted to do this thing but without using another plugin.

you can use a right opening Off Canvas Panel:
