[Resolved] Hard coded Customisations + Updates

Hi,

So as i understand it, if i make customisations to the code directly i will lose those when i update the theme, is it possible to adjust the “hooks” or add “hooks” to the theme will those be overwritten?

I love generatePress Theme its awesome, keep up the great work!

That’s correct – no changes should be made to the core code.

To add CSS, use these instructions: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/adding-css/

To add PHP (hooks, overwrite functions that are wrapped in function_exists( ” ) etc.., use these instructions: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/adding-php-functions/
