    Hello,

I’ve read seveal threads here on GP forum about missing H1 tags. Some threads go back to 2015 and others are from just a few months ago.

I received a SEO report from Bing (but not Google), that I was missing H1 tags on homepage.

Some of the responses here range from “dont worry about” to “it needs to be fixed.”

So do i need to invest some time to fix this or just let it be as is?

    John

    Hi there,

this is one of those topics that will split opinions every day. Interesting read on the matter here which includes Googles John Mullers take on it:

My view, if you believe its an important element for your readers then you should add one.
If its solely to tick a box on some SEO audit tool then probably not worth the energy. I have seen a lot of very successful blogs that don’t have one.

If you want to add one then the simplest method is to create a Header Element for your Front Page and add your own one in there:
