Hello,
I have recently started using WordPress and your theme and launched a site recently, I have added it to bing webmaster and have received the SEO analysis as below. This relates to H1 tags which it says are missing? I analyze the h1 is on missing on the website logo if I select a site title instead of the logo it shows the h1 tag – Could you please confirm if it this possible to use the h1 tag on the website logo instead of using site title?

Best regards
Riaz

Hi there,

It's not possible to configure the site logo as H1 unfortunately.

We don't believe it is a very big deal to not have an <h1> element.

If you wish to add one, then you can try creating a page hero with an <h1> element in it like this example:

Hi, I am getting an alert when testing the site for accessibility and I was wondering the same. Why there Appearance >>> Site Title field does not include an h1 tag?

Would it make sense for you guys to add it by default?

What It Means
Text appears to be a heading but is not a heading element.

Why It Matters
Heading elements (<h1>-<h6>) provide important document structure, outlines, and navigation functionality to assistive technology users. If heading text is not a true heading, this information and functionality will not be available for that text.
