H1 tag in each post

Tom, I'm afraid I'm having a brain fart. Does Wordpress make each post title <h2> because it makes the logo and site title <h1>? There's got to be PHP to make every post title <H1>
You see up until last night I've been using H2 and h3 in my post because I thought whatever I named my post title was going to be my H1 by default..I was reading last night I got totally confused. Would disable elements content title help? like if i typed a new title at top of post and tag h1,then disable content title..
Hi Derek,
Post titles on pages and single posts are H1s.
On the blog, your multiple post titles are H2s, because you're not supposed to have multiple H1s.
The site title/logo isn't an H1, but you can make it one if you'd like.
Let me know and I'll point you in the right direction :)
yea I thought that was the case, thank you. yoast seo keeps telling me my focus keyword isn't in my h1 tag. I'm thinking "yes it is"
I wouldn't worry too much about what Yoast SEO says - if you have a good headline (H1) and good content, rankings will come :)
Thanks Tom.
No problem! :)
I'm using a logo image, but I would like to have h1 in my blog title.
Tom you said: "The site title/logo isn’t an H1, but you can make it one if you’d like."
Can the logo/image be an h1?
Hi there,
This post is quite old.
Any chance you can start a new one?
Let me know :)
