GPP - Words and paragraphs on a page have way too much space

When I create a new page and begin typing information, I'm encountering a problem when I hit the enter key to skip to the next line. It skips WAY down probably 2 or 3 spaces, and I want it to only skip to the very next line. I'm sure this is a simple fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Nick,
It should only bring it down on paragraph - there shouldn't be any spaces you can place your cursor in between the paragraphs.
Can you show me a screenshot of the space you're seeing?
Yes, for example, when I only have a short sentence or a few words and I want to start a new sentence underneath I hit the enter button and the cursor gets pushed down several lines. I want the spacing to be the same as a regular paragraph. How can I send you a private link?
Found the solution. You have to hit shift and enter to go to the next line. This will prevent the cursor from skipping down several lines...
Ah yes, that will prevent paragraphs from happening.
