GPP / Block Element / Page Footer / Full width

Hi Leo,
I created a site based on the "magazine" site template that comes with GPP.
Now I'd like to add a full-width footer using Block Element/ Page Footer (see screenshot)
Despite the Container setting being "full width" the footer still doesn't spread across the screen (see page link)
What am I missing?
Any advice is much appreciated.

in Customizer > Layout > Footer, can you make sure that is set to Full Width.
