GPP 2 - dynamic fields add to page in a specific location

I would like to add a section on the homepage which will display 3 posts from the blog or a specific category. This will be created with the 'content template' via the element type: Content Template (dynamic in GPP 2).
It will be needed to be located between some sections of the homepage. After I create the dynamic element how can I add that section into the homepage?

Hi there,
The Block Element content template isn't designed for that. It can only be used to replace the content template within a Post Loop - it doesn't generate the post loop itself.
You would need to use a plugin like WP Show Posts if you want to display a post list on a static page.

Yeah, I was trying to find a solution within GPP 2. Maybe a future option to have the ability to turn these elements into reusable blocks, or to have a new block category called 'elements' and then we could have the option to add an 'element-block' anywhere on the site. That would save adding another plugin or another block type for displaying posts.

We're working on something - whether be incorporated into GB Pro or a Block version of WP Show Posts.. nothing concrete yet - but its something we definitely want to add.
