[Resolved] GPP 2.0 alpha – Author meta description is not being displayed

The author meta description block does not get populated in the front end when used inside a Page Hero element. The description is only being displayed when a GB dynamic headline is used with “Author Meta” as dynamic text type and “description” as meta field name.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a page hero block element
2. Insert a container with a dynamic background
3. Insert a dynamic content block inside with “Author Description” as type
4. Set display conditions
5. Check the front end
6. Description is not being displayed.
7. Insert a BG headline, select “Author Meta” as dynamic text type, and type “description” as meta field name.
8. Check the front end.
9. Description is displayed.

Hi there,

Thank you for providing the steps.

I did try to replicate it and I wasn’t able to replicate the same issue as I didn’t encounter #6.

The Author displayed as intended. I didn’t need to add a BG Headline block. The dynamic content block was more than enough.

Here’s a video of my setting and a demo that its working. The change in image was because the background was dynamic. 🙂
