GP site redesign on localhost, then update live site -- best way?

Hi -- I have a live site using a non-GP theme and various plugins. I want to try redesigning the site using GP Premium on a Local by Flywheel host. The local site is using the same design as my live site, but with stripped-down dummy content.

Once I have the redesign done, what's the best way to update my live site without losing any of the existing content?

Hi there,

Might be best to check with the support of FlyWheel.

The process of migrating should be the same regardless which theme you are using.

Well, I'm just using Flywheel as a local host, similar to soething like MAMP. They don't help much with migrating sites unless it's to their hosting. I have my site on Dreamhost.

I'm not a total novice, but I'm certainly no expert -- I've seen migration tools, but it seem that they might overwrite my existing content. I'm looking for ways to avoid that. Any tips? What about using GP's export functions, would that work?
