About to activate PRO;
Can individual plugins be activated independently of others? If Presumably so.. will all plugins load down the site??

Yup of course they can: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/installing-gp-premium/#activate-your-add-ons
You can activate the ones you want to use only but shouldn't matter that much for speed :)
