GP Premium Woocommerce addon and Elementor Woocommerce widget conflict
12 replies · Started by Amanda on June 20, 2017
There appears to be a conflict between running the woocommerce addon and using the Elementor woocommerce widget. The addon seems to force the products to be displayed four across no matter what the screen size is - so it's not scaling. I would like to use both because the addon styles everything including the product page and Elementor allows you to add headers and other content to the shop page. Can this be addressed?
Hi there,
Can you link us to a page where the conflict is happening? Thanks!
WooCommerce is added the columns-4 class to the woocommerce element. How are you inserting the products? Using a shortcode?
Using the Elementor Woo Product widget.
And it doesn't give you the option to choose how many columns? Why not just use the WooCommerce shortcode?: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/#section-6
Yes, it does give me the option but the conflict doesn't allow it to scale properly when using the GenerstePress theme with the Woocommerce addon activated. Here is the same set up using another theme https://test-ocean.juicecreativewebdesign.com.au/store/.
I am not using a shortcode because I am trying to create an Elementor layout. I just thought you'd want to address this so that Elementor and GeneratePress can remain compatible.
Ah, think I know the issue.
Can you try this CSS?: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/woocommerce-shortcode-products-dont-show-ok-for-tabletmobile/#post-324927
If it works I'll be sure to add it into the next version.
It does work (it needs a bit more tweaking) but I'll wait for the fix. Thank you.
What tweaking does it need?
Just some margins. The buttons were too squashed up to the product image underneath.
Thanks!
I've ahead and added this to the next version: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/woocommerce-shortcode-products-dont-show-ok-for-tabletmobile/#post-325597
Looks like the best solution, and should fix any margin issues.
