Hi Tom,
I’ve added GP Premium to a site I’m building on localhost under WAMP and I can’t seem to get GP Premium to verify. All the other add ons are individually verified, but the main one at the top still says ‘unverified’ and there is no ‘Sections’ add-on available in the menu either which I need to use at this point.
Any suggestions?

Hi Tom,
An Update:
OK, so I updated GP Premium to 1.2.1, installed, and the Sections add-on now appears. But I’m still having the problem with my email verifying via ‘Enable Updates’ at the bottom. After clicking that, I get a License Failed warning at the top of the page once it reloads. This is happening to me on a localhost install running under WAMP.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperCan you possibly send me an email to support@generatepress.com with the email you purchased with? This is very odd as you were able to confirm your email, which means enabling the updates should work as well (uses the same code basically).

Update for all experiencing this problem when developing on localhost under WAMP:
Tom suggested that PHP Curl be enabled on the server.
The following post explains how to enable PHP Curl in WAMP and it worked: https://josemmsimo.wordpress.com/2013/06/01/enable-curl-with-wamp-server-problems-solved/

Don’t understand Pauls article at all. I have test site build on the same server (not local) as other sites. Can’t verify email, can’t even save changes on page with sections. What’s going on?

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperEmail activation was deactivated close to a year ago due to it getting hammered by bots/spammers.
Manually update to the latest version: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/updating-add-ons/#manual-update
Then activate your license key in “Appearance > GeneratePress”.

Now it’s even better. I’ve clicked link to my account (https://generatepress.com/account/) and got this:
