That’s basically saying there’s missing files in GP Premium. It’s possible that the installation process was interrupted and didn’t complete.

Deactivate and delete the plugin, then re-download it from your account and try the install again.

    Let me know ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi,

I have reinstalled the plugin and activated it. I can’t able to access customize option. I’m getting below error.

    HTTP Error 500

This is happening with GeneratePress theme only. I have switched to another theme but their every thing is fine.

Please let me know why it’s happening.

    Thanks!

    Regards,
    Anurag

What stops you from accessing the Customizer? A specific error?

    What GPP version?

It could be as simple as needing to up your PHP memory limit: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/increasing-php-memory-limit/

If that’s not it, you’ll need to check your error_log file on your server for a specific error.

    Hi,

I’m using GPP 1.4.3 version. Sorry for the late reply, I’m totally engaged in restoring my website.

It was found some security issue and some files are corrupted. Tech support has restored my website but still afraid.

The thing is that it happen only with GPP. Before that, I can’t able to login to my dashboard, then support person deactivated the plugin, then I able to login. Again, if I trying to activate it throwing fatal error, which I have listed above. Then, as per your instruction, I have deleted the plugin and again reinstalled and activated.

The second case occur, I can’t able to customize it. Whenever, I’m clicking on customize, it throwing an HTTP error 500. Then, I have change to WordPress default theme, their I didn’t find any such issue. Again, I have revert back to GP theme and activated GPP plugin. Problem still continue. Then, support has restored from backup and I get my account back.

I’m not a support person, not even a developer. So, I can’t predict the real problem but I can analyze it and put the thing up to you. So, you can look after the matter. I also like to know any precaution from your side

    Thanks!

We’d have to know what is causing the 500 error, as it isn’t happening to anyone else using GPP. Your error_log file will give more details on the error, so you’ll need to check it out/ask your hosting to tell you the latest few entries in it.

Once you have them, report back and I should have an answer for you ๐Ÿ™‚
