GP Premium conflict with WP Google Maps
5 replies · Started by Robert on July 11, 2017
Just a note for anyone trying to use GP Premium and WP Google Maps together - there is a conflict and if GP Premium is enabled, google maps will not display on your site if you are using WP Google Maps.
Perhaps both developers could get together and determine a fix for this.
Thanks
Hi there,
Can you link me to a page where the two aren't working together?
I'll have to reinstall GP Prem and activate - let me know when you've looked at it, so I can deactivate
Link is http://www.carltoncommunicationsgroup.com - look at the "contact us" menu option, on the left, you'll see a blank area for map.
I'll also create a test page with only a WP google maps shortcode to display a map at http://www.carltoncommunicationsgroup.com/testmap
Thanks for investigating.
A bit of background might also be helpful...
1. I've tried to different google javascipt API keys just to be sure I didn't set up something incorrectly. Both were responding to the requests to serve data, but nothing was displaying.
2. I followed WP Google Maps trouble shooting guide, but none of the suggestions resolved the issue. The guide is here: http://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/troubleshooting/ I checked each of their potential issues and didn't see anything that was causing the error. Perhaps I've overlooked something....?
3. All plugins are up-to-date, using the most current versions.
4. Last step was to disable one plugin at time until the maps loaded correctly - when I deactivated GP Prem the map began to display.
Hope this is helpful.
Now, deactivated GPPrem.
Interesting - can you re-activate it now?
