GP header element script/code overwriting Elementor header theme

I was using a GP header element as a sticky transparent header on my website. I needed a little bit more design freedom, so I switched to using an Elementor header with their theme editor and some custom site-wide CSS. The problem I'm having is my header disappears whenever I load any page to edit or go to Appearance > Customize. I think it may even disappear between refreshed homepage visits.

It seems like there is likely some existing code or script left over from using the GP header element that keeps overwriting the code from the Elementor theme builder. I've deleted the GP header element and have turned off 'use navigation as header' in Appearance > Customize. I can provide my custom CSS if necessary, but I was having this issue before using the CSS (it just edits styling for the sticky header).

I've contacted Elementor and have gone through all the steps they've suggested to troubleshoot the issue to no avail. I'm hoping to find some help locating the code or whatever is causing the issue and resolve it. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Of course. I've added the temporary domain I'm using for the site into the private information section.

Does this only happen on the backend? As I'm not seeing the issue on the front end. It does take a second to load the hero image on the front end when refreshing it.

I inspected your site, and I don't see any GP elements or CSS interfering with the current header.

If you switch to a twenty-twenty theme, does the issue persist?

Let me know!

It happens on the backend and then the disappearance persists on the front end unless I reapply the elementor theme element to all pages. I've refreshed the backend and have left it as disappeared so you can see what is happening. I know it happens if I save an edit to the header element, but it sometimes happens just navigating the wordpress backend.

When I switch the theme to any of the default wordpress themes, all my elementor theme elements disappear completely (not sure elementor theme builder is compatible with those default themes).

Hum...that sounds weird, I can see the entire header is missing.

As a plugin, it has to be compatible with the WP default themes, maybe not the twenty-twenty-two(full site editing), but it should be compatible with twenty-twenty-one, can you test again with twenty-twenty-one theme?

If the issue persists, it's better to reach out to Elementor again and tell them the test result with twenty-twenty-one theme.

Thank you. I'll reach back out to Elementor support.

Keep us updated :)
