GP freezes after duplicating a container within a grid

Hi
I'm working through Mike Oliver's How to Build Lightweight WordPress Websites with GeneratePress & GenerateBlocks and have come across a problem. When I duplicate a container within a grid on the Home page GP freezes. How do you suggest I problem-solve this?
Appreciate your help with this,
Sue

Hi Sue,
I don't seem to have issue duplicating containers within Grid.
When you say GP freezes, what does that mean exactly?
What is the content inside the Grid container which you are trying to duplicate?
Let me know :)
After I duplicate the container, I click on the Update button to save my changes. The duplicated content isn't saved and I can't make any more changes to the page. I have included a link to a screenshot of the edited page. Can you see it?
I'm not experiencing this issue either and haven't received other reports on this.
Any chance you can try disabling all plugins to eliminate any odd conflicts first?
If not can you create a staging site so we can try to replicate the issue there?
Thanks.
Thanks,
After disabling all plugins except GP Premium and GenerateBlocks I still have the problem. I will work on creating a staging site and get back to you.
Sounds good :)
The staging area has been created. I have added the login details and a Loom video to show you exactly what is happening.
Hi there,
thats very odd, when updating the page i do not see any Errors in the Browser Developers Console.
But what i do see is a SSL issue.
If you go to Tools > Site Health you will see it warns "Your website does not use HTTPS" and within that notice it points out the URLs in Settings > General are set to HTTP.
Can you try updating the URLs to HTTPS as it may be just a simple SSL security issues thats blocking the update.
Hi,
The SSL has been updated, but unfortunately, the issue is still there. :-(
Hi Sue,
I think the issue is the reusable block -- text link you are using in the Grid container.

As you know Reusable block is a WP core feature, it's not supposed to be duplicated like this, it causes infinite loop. So be very careful with Reusable block.
If you remove this reusable block, the issue should be gone. :)
Hi Ying,
Thank you for finding this. Leaving this as a Reusable block was an oversight on my part, it should have been converted to a regular block. However, I thought by leaving it as a Reusable Block was an option also. It's my understanding that the Reusable Blocks work like a "Global Block" changing something in one Reusable Block will affect that same block site-wide as long as it hasn't been converted to a regular block.
Thank again
Reusable block is WP core feature, GP has no control over its behavior.
I personally don't like using it, it's just not stable enough for me. And GB Pro has a similar feature called Local template, I prefer using our own product which is much more stable :)
