Google Tag Manager Container Not Published

Really value the speed performance and simplicity of your theme and GP Premium plugin. However, I have a problem with implementing Google Tag Manager (GTM) on my site. Have tried foliowing your specific instructions closely: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/implement-google-tag-manager/
My GTM dashboard is reporting that the container I 'published' on my site is 'not published'
The tag type is for 'Google Ads Conversion Tracking' for the AMP pages on my site. This necessitates adding AMP analytics tags to the wp_head and wp_open_body areas of all AMP pages. All look OK.
My site only has AMP pages and am scratching my head why this simple container is not published on my Google Tag Manager dashboard. Any ideas please?

aside of a bunch of errors in the developers console ( right click > inpsect --> console tab ) - i cannot see the traditional GTM opening tag in the WP_head.
Can you share the codes you have added to the hook ?
