Google Search Console Verification Meta Tag

I have verified my website domain in Google Search Console through html meta tag by Yoast SEO. I have deleted the free Yoast SEO Plugin for some reasons. Now I have included the verification html meta tag in wp_head hook and displayed the location 'entire site' as instructed by David. Am I going right way?
