Google Maps Problem

I'm having an issue on my site (example page: https://christiangays.com/events-listing/2017/04/guelph-on-pride/ )

A Google map is supposed to be created below the image. Sometimes it shows up. Other times you need to refresh the page.

When it does show up, you see the map for a split second and then it says "Oops! Something went wrong."

The plugin is WPMU Events+. They have checked all my settings, API credentials and say everything is fine, but they say there is a conflict, shown in Javascript console as:

<script type='text/javascript' src='//maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js'></script>

I have done a plugin and theme conflict test, and have created a new API, but still I have this problem.

I can't imagine that it has anything to do with the theme, but just throwing this out there in case you might have some feedback for me.

Thanks!
Mary

Hi Mary,

It could be that the map is trying to load without HTTPS: https://www.screencast.com/t/cjR3OvjOMw

It could also be an API key issue.

I would assume there's something going on with the plugin you're using/the Google Maps API key.

Thank you Tom. I have forwarded your info to WPMU. Will let you know if they are able to find an answer.

Update: There was a bug in the WPMU Events plugin. All is resolved. Thanks for your help!

Great to hear :)
