Google Font Question

I am using Montserrat on my site and I have only chosen regular and italic hoping that would improve my mobile speed. How do I know which size to choose? (example 100,100i,500,500i). What is the ideal size for my site?

There is no idea size for font selection - it's all personal preference.
You would only want to load the variant you are using to optimize the load time.

Not I'm aware of.
Google font shouldn't really cause any speed issues.
Having tested it multiple times, Google Fonts does in fact, slow down site speed.
Another option is to use System stack so it's just the browser font of the user.
