Google Analytics (GA)

I am building a web site (MindIQ.com) but need to use a temporary domain (http://23c.1c7.myftpupload.com/) until January 1. However, I am putting in all the web pages now and I want to make sure I include Google Analytics (GA). I don't have the GA tracking codes yet.
Questions:
1. When I get the GA HTML does it have to go into each web page or can I place it in a header or footer, just one time and still see the traffic from each page?
2. Is it easier with either method (each page or header/footer) using a plugin? If so, is there one you recommend?
Thank you for your help.
I have never done this before.
Hi there,
1. It can go into this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/wp-head/
2. I don't think it would be easier but here is a plugin if you want to try: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/
Thanks Leo. I will try to figure it in a bit, but for clarification - Are you saying I DO NOT have to put the GA code on every web page?
Nope GP hooks apply to every page :)
