Sascha
Hi,
please allow me to handle this request here, since I use both GPP & GBP and would like to keep all my support tickets here.
In GB > Global Styles I have created 2 different button-styles. But whenever I change something (e.g. the color, font etc.) and update the styles, their IDs will not be stored, instead, new cryptic IDs (like “f25194a9”) will be applied, which breaks the layout of course.
Is this a known bug?
Thank you in advance and kind regards,

Actually, whenever I refresh the Globyl-Styling page, the IDs will be regenerated. I have disabled other plugins already, but this issue is repeatable

which version of GenerateBlocks is being used ( Free and Pro )?
And how do i replicate ? Do i:

2. Add the style to a block in a post.
Save that
3. Re-edit the Global style

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I cannot replicate this issue any more, so I keep this ticket open in case it appears before launching the website this issue has occurred.
Kind regards,

I have “cloned” the site to a sub-directory, so you can replicate the issue there.
The issue occurs, after I have edited a global style (here: Buttons) and refreshed the global-tyle-page where the buttons are being edited.
I give you admin-login via private note field.
Thank you in advance and kind regards,

Hi Ying,
thank you for your reply. The issue occurs after you refresh the page.
I have recorded a short screencast to illustrate the issue:

I hope now it’s easier to replicate the issue.
Thank you in advance and kind regards,

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
Very strange – what happens if you write an actual word as the global style ID (or a number that doesn’t start with 0)?
Same issue?

Hello,
using a word (or an alphabetic character) as the first digit prevented this the ID from changing indeed!
Thanks for bringing up this idea, Tom 🙏
