Global Page Hero - replacing image with featured image

I created a global page hero element and have it set to 'Disable featured image' so I can use the featured image on pages with the element to designate a hero image, but it's not choosing the featured image I set on the page as the hero image. It's working fine for posts, but not for pages. Any suggestions?

THIS is the page where I've set a featured image using the Global Page Hero.
You can see HERE where I set up the global page hero element with 'Disable featured image' turned on.
And you can see HERE where I've set a different image as the featured image to replace the hero placeholder.

Can you make sure the background image is set to featured image?
Can you take a screenshot of all the elements you have so we can see if there's a location conflict?

You can set the background image for the Container Block to use the featured image by setting it through the Block Element's dynamic background feature.
