    Hey guys,

I did a quick search and couldn’t find a similar topic on the subject, so apologies if this has been asked already!

From a performance perspective, is there a ‘best way’ to use GIFs with GeneratePress?

For example, adding a GIF via the media library, pasting embed code directly into a text widget, or linking to the GIF directly. (i.e. Giphy)

I’m seeing GIFs (and emojis) being used a lot more on blogs, would love to hear your thoughts on the subject!

    Thanksss

    Hi there,

I don’t think it would matter how you uploaded/linked to it. Either way the browser needs to download the full size of the GIF in order to display it.

I would just keep it somewhat on the small side (file size).

    Cool, makes sense.

    Thanks, Tom!
